Creating a Subdomain

A subdomain takes the format http://somename.yourwebsite.com and can be used to split up discrete sections of your website, or to give your friends a section of your disk space.

  1. Login to the Website Control Panel and click “Subdomains”.

  1. Enter the subdomain you would like and click “Add”. For this example we’re using tutorial.

  1. You will see this confirmation screen, you are finished! You can now upload files to this subdomain via your regular FTP account or use the FTP manager to create an account with access to this directory only.
