Secure FTP Connections Required After June 8th

Customers who use FTP to upload files to their web sites will be required to connect using SSL/TLS from June 8, 2010. This is an important security measure to prevent passwords being compromised by eavesdroppers. Most modern FTP clients should support this kind of connection, and it should just be a case of selecting the appropriate option in the software.

Customers who currently use an FTP client which does not support encrypted connections should consider one of the following free FTP clients:

Unencrypted FTP connections have now been disabled, meaning all FTP connections will be required to use SSL/TLS to login from now on.
