Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we occasionally invite our clients to share their feedback on third party review sites. These invites may be sent directly from the third party survey provider, and your name and e-mail address will be used for this purpose. We’ll only ever ask you for feedback on services provided by Valcato Limited but to unsubscribe from future feedback requests simply follow the directions in the invite e-mail to remove your details from the system.
Your data privacy is important to us, however we reserve to the right to view any data stored on our servers in the event of a suspected breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use.
Cookies are used by your browser to store session data, we use them to keep you logged into various areas of our website such as the Control Panel and Valcato Account area.
Our cookies do not cause any harm to your system, however if you do not wish to accept cookies please refer to your browser’s documentation.
In order for Valcato Hosting to provide our service we collect and store information about you via our order form. This information is stored by us in a secure online database. This information is communicated to and from our U.S. based administration server by means of a 256bit secure connection (SSL) provided by GeoTrust which ensures that your personal details cannot be obtained by anyone but the intended recipient.
We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers, and our staff cannot see these details either – all credit and debit card transactions are processed by Stripe, a Visa and MasterCard approved provider who use bank-approved software and the highest level of encryption to ensure that your credit card details are kept secure at all times. Once your payment details are submitted to Stripe, we receive a ‘token’ along with the last four digits of your card number, this is stored on our system in order to provide an automated billing service for your convenience. You have full access to this data from within your Valcato Account area, and can modify or remove this token at any time, which will automatically delete the corresponding data from Stripe.
For training and security purposes, we monitor and record all contact made between you and our team. This includes but is not limited to the recording of telephone calls, and saving of live chat logs, voicemail messages and ticket responses. These logs will be retained for a period of no less than two (2) years.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act you are able to view and update the information we store about you via your Valcato Account. You are obliged to keep this information up-to-date as well as any WHOIS (domain name) records.
If you decide to cancel your account all hosted data is removed from our servers immediately. It may, however, remain in the possession of Valcato Hosting in the form of data backups. We retain all client and transactional data for a period of 10 years, as required by European VAT legislation. While we do not sell or otherwise disclose this information to third parties, it may be shared with authorised bodies in the event of a query being raised in relation to the payment of sales taxes.
