Fast, convenient setup and upgrades
Servers are set up on average within twelve hours of orders being received, and there is no setup fee. Upgrades and downgrades are also fast and convenient, in most cases taking only slightly longer than a reboot for the changes to be applied once your order is processed.
Cloud or local storage
Hardware failures happen to everyone at some point, but with cloud storage your data is stored on separate hardware which allows everything to be automatically moved to a new host system if anything goes wrong, with a minimum of disruption. This extra redundancy comes at the expense of disk performance, so local storage is recommended for high-performance applications. In either case, all of your data is stored on a RAID 10 storage array, making it virtually immune to hard drive failures and ensuring that your data is safe, no matter what.
Your choice of location
With four choices of location in the USA, you have a lot of choice when it comes to choosing where your VPS will be located. Choose from Dallas, Seattle, San Jose or Washington, DC, to put your server closer to your customers and reduce network latency. Prices are the same no matter which location you choose, so you’re free to choose whichever option is best for your needs.
Server management
All of our VPSs come semi-managed. This means that you take care of the day-to-day stuff, like setting up your web sites and keeping your software up-to-date, but we’re here to help if anything goes wrong or if you can’t quite get something working. For more information about what semi-management means and how it compares to full management, check out our management overview page.
Ready for the future with IPv6
Our virtual private servers all come with the option of having a /64 block of IPv6 addresses assigned for free – that’s a whopping 18 quintillion addresses, all to yourself. With the IPv4 address space due to be exhausted in a matter of months, you can have the piece of mind that comes from knowing that your server is ready for the future, with IPv6 configured and ready to go.
