We’re pleased to announce that our standard shared hosting is now environmentally friendly. Following a positive response in our most recent customer survey we have teamed up with PURE – one of the UK Government’s officially certified carbon offsetting organisations – to reduce, measure and offset the carbon emitted by our shared hosting servers, so our customers can rest assured the environmental impact of their websites are mitigated.

Initially we asked customers whether they would be prepared to pay extra to offset the carbon dioxide emitted into the environment by their individual websites, but following discussions with PURE we decided we would be able to offset the impact of all our standard hosting servers at no extra cost to customers. As a company we have always been conscious of our environmental impact and now with carbon offsetting we are not only meeting the needs of our customers, but doing so in a manner less damaging to our planet.
