The following error may occur when visiting your website using Wordpress:
Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.
There are two possible causes and solutions:
Old Wordpress Version
Very old Wordpress versions cannot work with modern versions of PHP. The first step is to make sure you're running a version of Wordpress released in the past year.
Old versions of Wordpress will only function with PHP 5.6 or below. As an immediate solution you can switch to the older PHP version.

Missing PHP Extensions
Wordpress is written in the PHP programming language and stores the data in a database system called MySQL. An extension is required to allow PHP to communicate with MySQL databases.

Begin by logging into cPanel and scroll down to the "Software" heading,

Click the "Select PHP Version" Icon,

Click the "Reset to default" button
The configuration changes will be applied immediately to your entire hosting account, and Wordpress should now load.
