We know your website data is valuable so as a result Valcato Hosting accounts include regular remote backups, so that your data can be restored in the event of hardware failure. Backups are stored separately from the primary servers, so in the unlikely event of there being a problem your data is safe.
Backups are managed via a system called JetBackup. This is a premium backup system which offers a 50% reduction in backup restore times compared with similar systems and integrates seamlessly with cPanel.
Each time a backup is taken, it's referred to as a snapshot. We keep several different snapshots of your account backup. Backup snapshots do not count towards your disk space allocation, as they are stored on our separate backup infrastructure.
