A tracert is a test that traces the route data takes to get from one computer to another. If you are having difficulty viewing your website we may ask you to tracert a number of websites to determine where the problem is. To perform a tracert:

  1. Hold the Windows button on your keyboard and press R.
  2. A "Run" dialogue box will appear, type:

    cmd

    Type cmd

  3. Click OK.
  4. A DOS prompt will appear, type:

    5. tracert WEBSITE.COM

  5. Replace WEBSITE.COM with the address or IP of the website we ask you to trace.
